Our Work in this area is primarily to attend and advise with foreign and International participation in Nigerian enterprises including support with meeting Government regulatory requirements and conditions including obtaining permits necessary to secure a desirable favourable status as in applicable exemptions of all kinds: pioneer status, and other tax exemptions, obtaining approvals with the Nigeria Investment promotion council or similar body, setting up a company and obtaining all requisite certificates for same, including advice on appropriate vehicle for the proposed venture or business as may be desirable.
Opinion of all kinds are also often provided in all aspects of Tax, Employment and all forms of ad-hoc contract engagements as with all aspects of doing business in Nigeria.
Due diligence.
Services provided are designed to protect the Intellectual Property rights of the client and filings are regularly done in a diverse range of industries. A ‘WATCH SERVICE’ is also provided for the filings and by which a search of any subsequent and new filings at the registry including regularly reading through every Trade Mark Journal as published are carried out to protect the property rights of the client for whom a filing has been made.
Our Intellectual property services covers Trademarks and Designs, Franchising and Licensing including Patent applications.
In a few instances we have supported our work and defended the rights of the client by class and passing off actions, including seeking and obtaining Mareva injunctions.
